While there we browsed and some fun beads and pendants already made that we found beautiful, caught our eye. These Catfish Pendants are part of that batch. There are 4 different catfish to choose from.
The African symbolism associated with the catfish is that of new beginnings and fertility. This creature is believed to represent the cycle of life and death and that everything is connected. The Africans also believe that the catfish can help us let go of our material possessions and live in balance with nature. The catfish is also a symbol of strength, determination, and perseverance.
