A strand of about 53 size 3 (10 mm) translucent purple Bodom Recycled Glass Beads on string 21″ long. These beads have an earthy, natural feel and look. Ghana is famous for these recycled beads made from recycled glass bottles. Photos don’t do these beads justice as they are translucent so it seems somehow the camera can’t quite catch them! Especially these… the main photo is what they look like when held up to light and the others are when one looks down at them with no light going through them. The beads are handmade so colour, size and shape vary.
These recycled beads were bought directly from the small factory in Accra, Ghana where the artisans hand make the beads in the labor intensive method of their ancestors from crushing glass to baking the final product in wood ovens.
