These beads are handmade so there will be differences in colour and size among the beads. These beads are made by an innovative Bead Designer named Tet. A strand of about 35 hand painted Recycled Glass Beads strung on string 29" long. These beads are white with green, red and brown designs. They are handmade so will vary in size and colours. Each bead is rectangular and approx. 10x18 mm. These beads were found in the market and are unusual. -
A strand of 6 hand painted Recycled Glass Beads. These beads are sometimes called bottle glass beads and once made are painted by hand. The design on some these beads resemble eyes and eye beads were used to ward off evil spirits and when worn would protect the wearer from harm. The bead is a bottle glass. These beads are handmade so will vary in size and colour. Each bead is about 12x14mm. You will receive a strand similar to one of the strands in the photo. This is a way for you to get a variety for your beading. If you would like a strand all the same colour please do not hesitate to contact us. And also remember for most of the strands we will be happy to break them up if you would like to have only a few. These recycled glass beads were purchased straight from the small factory which hand crafts them using the methods of their ancestors, from crushing recycled bottles all the way to firing them in a wood burning oven. These recycled beads were bought directly from the small factory in Accra, Ghana where the artisans hand make the beads in the labor intensive method of their ancestors from crushing glass to baking the final product in wood ovens. -

Usually Ghana's recycled beads are quite rough, Tet Beads was the first place Funky Frog found these polished glass beads. Remember these beads are made by hand so each bead is polished individuallly. The polished beads come in 3 sizes and various colours. There are sizes 1 (8 mm) size 3 (10 mm) and this size 4 (12 mm). -
