  • A strand of  red short tube spacer Recycled Glass Beads from Ghana strung on string 26'' long. Each bead is about 5x7 mm. These beads are hand made so will vary in colour, shape and size. A bead designed and made by TET Beads, Accra, Ghana.
  • Teal Tile Recycled Glass Beads Teal Tile Recycled Glass Beads
    6 opaque teal with brown speckles rectangular Recycled Glass Tile Beads from Ghana. Each bead is about 23x15 mm with a smooth stone like finish. These beads are hand made so will vary in colour, shape and size. $3/6 beads
  • These are rectangular beads (28mm x 15 mm x 8 mm thick) that are watermelon red with dark brown speckles. The beads are smooth to the touch. These beads are handmade so there will be differences in colour and size among the beads. These beads are made by an innovative Bead Designer named Tet. It is always a pleasure to go and see what new designs he has come up with in his small cottage industry in the outskirts of Accra. $3 / 6 beads
  • A strand of about 66 round opaque Cherry Red Recycled Glass Beads which are strung on string 22" long. The beads are about 8 mm . The beads are all handcrafted so will vary in colour, size and shape. The strand you will received will be similar to the photo but may have variations. These beads are not completely transparent as they have a denseness that still let the light shine through. They remind me of ripe watermelon! There is a larger version of this bead here. These recycled glass beads were handcrafted in Ghana, Africa by crushing old, discarded glass, adding colorant and then pouring the powder into clay molds. The stem of a local plant is added, this burns away during firing, leaving a hole for stringing. The beads are fired in a wood burning earthen oven.   • A strand of about 50 round opaque Cherry Red Recycled Glass Beads which are strung on string 21" long. The beads are about 10 mm. The beads are all handcrafted so will vary in colour, size and shape. The strand you will received will be similar to the photo but may have variations. These beads are not completely transparent as they have a denseness that still let the light shine through. They remind me of ripe watermelon! There is a smaller version of this bead here.   • A Contemporary Bodom style Yellow Glass Bead with a red swirled teardrop inlay made to look like Old Trade Beads. These were found in the Agboblushi Market in Accra ... the trader said they were from Abijhan, Cote d'Ivoire ... they remind me of fimo beads with a soft smooth feel .. the bead is round about 20x23 mm with a large almost 3mm hole .. the beads are handcrafted so will vary quite a bit in shape, size and pattern. You will receive on that looks like the beads in the photo. $5/bead
  • A strand of Recycled Glass Waist beads strung on string 16" long. These are the smallest recycled glass beads and great spacer beads. These beads are a salmon red. There is an image which shows the different reds. And also an image that shows the two salmon reds. The salmon red is the lighter of the two. The waist beads are hand made and therefore there will be variations in size and colour. Funky Frog loves to use these beads in tassels!
