A strand of various Fancy African Recycled Glass Beads handcrafted in Ghana. The strand is about 13" long and the large Bodom bead is 21x28mm. These beads were bought in the Agormanya Market from the wonderful Bead section there... from the stall of the Queen of the market. She introduced these beads using old material to make heritage beads very much in the old style. There are two strands to choose from. There are slight variations in the strands but the strands are quite similar. But these are handmade so will vary in colour, size and shape. -

A strand of 50 silver coin metal Mali squashed bicone beads strung on string which measures approx. 26". The beads are approx. 14-16 mm by 10-12 mm. Please note that these beads are made by hand out of recycled metal and will vary in shape and size within the strand. The string you will receive will be similar to the one you see in the photo but might have some variations. These beads were found for Funky Frog by a Trader in the Kejetia Market in Kumasi, Ghana. These beads are becoming hard to find as Mali is struggling at this time. -
Funky Frog orders a lot from the Kokofrom Cooperative outside Kumasi. These tiny silver heishi or spacer beads were made especially for Funky Frog . The process these Metal Smiths are using is the same as their ancestors... back then it was gold now it is any metal they can get their hands on!! The rings are flat with the engravings cover 3/4 of the surface. The rings are handmade so there is a variation in design and size between the bracelets. 6 'silver' coin metal Mali squashed bicone beads. The beads are approx. 26 mm by 17 mm. Please note that these beads are made by hand out of recycled metal and will vary in shape and size within the strand. The 6 beads you will receive will be similar to the one you see in the photo but might have some variations. The beads are well made and are probably made with the old coins these beads are named for. These beads were found in Koforidua Market in Ghana. There are slightly larger lighter Mali coin beads as seen in last image which can be found here.
