These Vintage Mixed half Brown and half Burgandy Vinyl Beads are strung on string and a strand is 32" long.The 'heishi' beads are about 12 mm. Vulcanite is a hard, moldable rubber that has been formed by “vulcanizing” natural rubber through a curing process that involves high heat and the addition of sulfur. They make a real statement as a necklace strung togehter.. The trader in the Koforidua Market who sold these to me said they were "African Amber". A lot of beads are put under the name 'African Amber' but by any name they are gorgeous and add a certain something .... These beads are $3 each -
A strand of about 117 translucent Butterscotch Recycled Glass Rondelle beads on string 20" long. Each beads is around 4x13 mm. These recycled glass beads were purchased straight from the small factory which hand crafts them using the methods of their ancestors, from crushing recycled bottles all the way to firing them in a wood burning oven.
