New!! During the last Bead Hunt the Kokofrom metal smiths made Funky Frog some new bells including these. There are now 4 sizes of this shape, xtra large, large, medium and small. This new one is in between the medium and xtra large size at about 20 mm. It makes a lovely ring!! -
During a Bead Hunt Funky Frog made a big order from the Kokofrom Cooperative outside Kumasi. These bells were made especially for Funky Frog . The process these metal smiths are using is the same as their ancestors... back then it was gold now it is any metal they can get their hands on!! If you would like to see the intricate process check out the blog here ... These large brass bells are about 23 mm across. The bells make a lovely jingle. There are now four sizes of these bells, small, medium, large and Xtra large. These are the Xtra large sized. $6/bead -

The process these metal smiths are using is the same as their ancestors... back then it was gold now it is any metal they can get their hands on!! Desiree designs, glazes and fires the beads in her pottery studio. These colourful beads captured my heart and are amongst the few beads i don't actually go and buy (though it is definitely on my bucket list!) Funky Frog has over the years gathered quite a collection. With Desiree's blessing Funky Frog is offering some of these beads. This way i can destash a bit so i can buy more!!! Always more!! Round Batik Bone Beads in various designs. Three designs to choose from: Evil Eye, White Zig Zag on brown Background and black stripe on white Background. They are on average 23 mm. These beads are handmade so vary in size, shape and colour. You will receive a bead similar to the ones in the photo. These beads were found for Funky Frog by Hidir, a favourite Trader in the Koforidua Market. No animal was killed to make these beads. In Africa everything is put to good use including bones!
