A gorgeous strand of about about 80 colourful Vintage large Mali Wedding Beads ... the beads are about 23 mm. These beads are collectible and gorgeous! They will show their age with some chips and weathering which only adds to their beauty. "Mali Wedding beads are hand-made, and are presented to brides on their wedding days. They were made in what was once known as Czechoslovakia, for trade in Africa. Mali Wedding beads are worn throughout West Africa, specifically in Mali. These trade beads are multicolored and come in different shapes and sizes." -

These gorgeous beads are hand made using the ancient methods with a fresh and soothing, soft look. This particular strand is in the tones of soft lavender/purple. Again the photos don't do justice to the smokey quality of these beads - a very delicate soft hue. There are two hues in the lavender/purple - this one which is darker and the more misty lighter one. The last image shows the two lavender/purple beads. There are 4 sizes in this Pastel Line. Size 6 - 17 mm Size 5 - 15 mm Size 3 - 10 mm and Size 2 - 8 mm. -

These gorgeous beads are hand made using the ancient methods with a fresh and soothing, soft look. This particular strand is in the tones of soft lavender/purple. Again the photos don’t do justice to the smokey quality of these beads – a very delicate soft hue. There are two hues in the lavender/purple – this one which is misty + lighter and the more smokey darker one. The two purples are shown in the last image. There are 4 sizes in this Pastel Line. Size 6 - 17 mm Size 4 - 12 mm Size 3 - 10 mm and Size 2 - 8 mm. -
A strand of about 66 round opaque Cherry Red Recycled Glass Beads which are strung on string 22" long. The beads are about 8 mm . The beads are all handcrafted so will vary in colour, size and shape. The strand you will received will be similar to the photo but may have variations. These beads are not completely transparent as they have a denseness that still let the light shine through. They remind me of ripe watermelon! There is a larger version of this bead here. These recycled glass beads were handcrafted in Ghana, Africa by crushing old, discarded glass, adding colorant and then pouring the powder into clay molds. The stem of a local plant is added, this burns away during firing, leaving a hole for stringing. The beads are fired in a wood burning earthen oven.
