A strand of about 141 red and green Recycled Glass Fancy Rondelle beads on string 22" long. Each bead is about 9x4 mm. These recycled beads were bought directly from the small factory in Accra, Ghana where the artisans hand make the beads in the labor intensive method of their ancestors from crushing glass to baking the final product in wood ovens.

Desiree designs, glazes and fires the beads in her pottery studio. These colourful beads captured my heart and are amongst the few beads i don't actually go and buy (though it is definitely on my bucket list!) Funky Frog has over the years gathered quite a collection. With Desiree's blessing Funky Frog is offering some of these beads. This way i can destash a bit so i can buy more!!! Always more!! The Hexagon is about 55 mm (including loop) The artisans use whatever scrap metal they can get their hands on form old taps to pipes to .. but they call it 'brass'. Did you know the hexagon is the most efficient, least wasteful shape found in nature. ... The compressive characteristics of the shape allow it to be one of the strongest structures in the world.The cells of a beehive honeycomb are hexagonal. Cool. $5/hexagon pendant

A strand of about 117 translucent Butterscotch Recycled Glass Rondelle beads on string 20" long. Each beads is around 4x13 mm. These recycled glass beads were purchased straight from the small factory which hand crafts them using the methods of their ancestors, from crushing recycled bottles all the way to firing them in a wood burning oven.
