These beads are gorgeous and very light weight. There are 3 sizes in this Olive Wood Bead. This is the medium size. The small beads are here. A strand of jumbo Horn Beads from Togo. Beads measure approximately from the smallest 13 mm to the largest 31 mm. You will receive 37 beads on a 36" strand. These beads were traded and imported directly from a trader in Africa. The Trader called these beads African Amber Beads. -

The Hexagon is about 55 mm (including loop) The artisans use whatever scrap metal they can get their hands on form old taps to pipes to .. but they call it 'brass'. These Pineapple pendants were made especially for Funky Frog by the Kokofrom Cooperative outside Kumasi. The Pineapple is 49 mm including loop. It is said spiritually the Pineapple symbolizes the hospitality of families, true friendship, diplomacy and openhandedness. And apparently the sound of the Chinese word for pineapple is close to the sound of “good luck coming your way,” so the pineapple has become a popular traditional feng shui symbol of wealth, fortune, and prosperity. During a Bead Hunt Funky Frog made a big order from the Kokofrom Cooperative outside Kumasi. These Strawberry pendants were made especially for Funky Frog . The Strawberry is 41 mm including loop. It was fun to read that "the strawberry is a symbol for Venus, the Goddess of Love, because of its heart shapes and red color. ... and that to symbolize perfection and righteousness, medieval stone masons carved strawberry designs on altars and around the tops of pillars in churches and cathedrals."
