A gorgeous strand of 47 Robin's Egg Blue with red,white and green flecks Fused Recycled Glass beads on string 20" long. These recycled beads were bought directly from the small factory, TK Beads in Accra, Ghana where the artisans hand make the beads in the labor intensive method of their ancestors from crushing glass to baking the final product in wood ovens. These beads are made by recycling previously used beads, Ghana's answer to Fimo Beads! The beads are melted together in a clay oven to make this beautiful mosaic of colors. Each bead is approx. 14 mm. The beads are handcrafted so will vary in size, colour and shape.

A strand of 23 Robin's Egg Blue Recycled Glass beads strung on string 25". The beads have a smooth polished finish and are a 12 x 26" tubular shape. These beads are designed by an innovative designer (seen adding up my beads in photo!) who has a cottage industry making beads by hand just outside Accra. Round Batik Bone Beads in various designs. Three designs to choose from: Evil Eye, White Zig Zag on brown Background and black stripe on white Background. They are on average 23 mm. These beads are handmade so vary in size, shape and colour. You will receive a bead similar to the ones in the photo. These beads were found for Funky Frog by Hidir, a favourite Trader in the Koforidua Market. No animal was killed to make these beads. In Africa everything is put to good use including bones!

6 medium sized Ebony Wood round beads with copper and brass inlay. Each strand includes 6 high-quality, handmade beads about 20 mm. Since they are handcrafted they will vary in size, shape and colour. These beads would make a unique addition to a special project. About 88 Contemporary Glass Chevron Beads were probably made in India and traded in Ghana W. Africa. Found some of these in the largest Bead Market in W. Africa and since they are very popular decided to get more in more colours and shapes! Each bead is about 9 mm. These beads are royal blue, white and touch of red. The beads vary in size, shape and colour. You will receive a strand in the image.

Out of stockA strand of about 52 royal blue Sandcast Recycled Glass Beads strung on string 24" long. The beads are around 12x9 mm. These recycled glass beads were handcrafted in Ghana, Africa by crushing old, discarded glass, adding colorant and then pouring the coloured powder into molds. The stem of a local plant is added, this burns away during firing, leaving a hole for stringing. The beads are fired in a woodburning earthen oven. Ghana is famous for this type of bead.

The beads vary in size and shape. These beads are a gorgeous cobolt blue which when light hits them comes alive. Because these beads are old and have been traded in history, expect imperfections such as chips, pitting and an occasional broken bead.
