  • A strand of 74 translucent aqua blue Recycled Glass Beads strung on string 21" long. These beads are size 2 (about 7 mm in diameter). The beads are unpolished and natural. Photos don’t do these beads justice as they are translucent so it seems somehow the camera can’t quite catch them! And in this particular case more than others. This blue is very similar to the Lucent Blue but with a tinge of green that reminds me of the tropical sea... the photo just doesn't catch this.  They are handmade so colour, size and shape vary. These recycled glass beads were purchased straight from the small factory which hand crafts them using the methods of their ancestors, from crushing recycled bottles all the way to firing them in a wood burning oven.

  • A strand of about 53 size 3 (10 mm) translucent light orange Bodom Recycled Glass Beads on string 21" long. The last photo is of the two oranges, one light and one dark. These beads have an earthy, natural feel and look. Ghana is famous for these recycled beads made from recycled glass bottles. These recycled beads were bought directly from the small factory in Accra, Ghana where the artisans hand make the beads in the labor intensive method of their ancestors from crushing glass to baking the final product in wood ovens.
