A beautiful Bodom ... with blue dots. A contemporary bodom with a vintage feel and look. The Bodom is about 23x28 mm with yellow, red and blue lines on black with blue dots. Little pieces of abstract art!! ... Would make an amazing focal for any project. -
Vintage Glass Beads that look a bit like glass seeds. You can choose out of 4 variations of 4 strands of various colours or a strand of white glass beads. These glass beads have an opalescent quality and come in pink, green, grey, blue and white. The white beads are about 2x12 mm. The other coloured beads are about 4x9 mm. -
One bracelet sized strand of about 14 hand painted Recycled Glass Beads on each strand which are strung on string 10" long. The beads are about 20x9mm and are teal blue with white and royal blue hand painted 'eyes'. These eyes were used to ward off evil and to act as protection.(There were 2 bracelets but have broken up the pair.) These recycled glass beads were handcrafted in Ghana, Africa by crushing old, discarded glass, adding colorant and then pouring the powder into clay molds. The stem of a local plant is added, this burns away during firing, leaving a hole for stringing. The beads are fired in a wood burning earthen oven. The beads are then hand painted and then refired. A strand of about 75 pastel blue Recycled Glass Beads strung on string 18" long. These beads are size 1 (about 5-6 mm in diameter). The beads are unpolished and natural. Photos don't do these beads justice as they are translucent so it seems somehow the camera can't quite catch them! They are handmade so colour, size and shape vary. These recycled glass beads were purchased straight from the small factory which hand crafts them using the methods of their ancestors, from crushing recycled bottles all the way to firing them in a wood burning oven. These small beads are the hardest to make as the smaller the bead is the easier it is to break during the process of making them.
